About us

We are a husband and wife team, Patricia and Philip Allen.  We both qualified in 1996 from the University of Central England in Birmingham both gaining a BSc(Hons) degree in Podiatry.

After qualifying we started our surgery in Cannock called Chase Chiropody, we then took over the private chiropody practice in the Northgate Medical Centre in Aldridge which we ran alongside the Cannock practice.  When the new impressive Anchor Meadow Health Centre was completed in 2000 we moved into room 234 within the Health Centre.  In November 2006 for personal health reasons a decision was made to sell the Cannock surgery.  This will enable both Mrs Patricia Allen and Mr Philip Allen to concentrate on the Aldridge Surgery, which will enable a better service to be provided.

Since we qualified we have been State Registered (SRCh), however the qualification system has now changed to try and 'close' the profession to offer a greater control, which benefits the profession, the Podiatrist, and of course offers far more protection to the public.  Always ensure your chiropodist/podiatrist is HPC Registered (Health Professions Council) if they are not registered they are not entitled to be called a chiropodist/podiatrist.

It is our aim to offer a very thorough high class routine treatment session, carried out to reduce the patients problems, undertaken in a sympathetic manner in an effort to keep any discomfort to the minimum.  Advice is always offered to the patient in an attempt to reduce the risk of the problem recurring.  A calm and relaxing environment is present to reduce fears or anxieties for those who may be making their first visit.
